Women On Boards Seminar

in the Boardroom". This seminar, co-sponsored by RenaudFoster and

to conduct yourself in the boardroom and become a more effective Director.
CWC Women On Boards Program
Women on Boards is a program that aims to improve the representation
of women on boards of directors. The under-representation of women at
the board level is one of the key remaining obstacles for women in business.
Bringing attention to the issue while being proactive in bringing about
change, is central to CWC's efforts to advance women within the industry.
In January 2000, CWC launched its Women on Boards initiative. With
the success of the launch, CWC now takes on the vital role of providing
assistance to both sides of the board appointment process, bridging
the gap between qualified women and the placement networks currently
available.
CWC meets with key firms within
the industry to raise awareness of the importance of including women
in the board nomination process
CWC refers nominations committees
and CEOs to other resources to help them find qualified women candidates
CWC undertakes annual research
to track the industry's progress
CWC is developing a "recommended"
list of search firms committed to finding qualified women candidates
for board appointments
CWC provides firms with names
of potential candidates, developing a database of women qualified for
board service
