The Career Accelerator format offers a week-long intensive training
program focused on management and industry issues that most affect businesses
today. There are four CWC Career Accelerators offered on a rotating
basis. Twenty participants are chosen per session and recieve a scholarship
that covers all travel, accommodation and tuition expenses.

This is THE program that explores new technologies
and cross platform content development and distribution that will keep
you an in demand employee!
This intensive, six-day executive training program funded by Corus
Entertainment Inc., outlines and explores the converging media platforms
and their impact on the industry and your role within it.
The program teaches the fundamentals of how technology is affecting
media content development and distribution.
This Program has been designed exclusively for women in the communications
industries (radio, TV, specialty broadcasting, cable TV, telecommunications,
publishing, new/digital media, film/TV production) and the IT/ICT sector
with at least 5 years of full-time experience who, to advance in their
careers, need to understand technology and how it’s affecting
content development across the converging media platforms.

The CWC/Corus Convergent Technologies Career Accelerator
offers an intense and enriching learning experience that demystifies
ICT and communications technology and explores its impact on sales,
marketing, business, strategic planning and regulation issues.
The program, funded by Corus Entertainment Inc., outlines
the evolution of the various communications and media creation tools
and delivery methods, and describes how and where these technologies
converge and what that means to careers and to the industry.
The program is designed exclusively for women with at least 3 to 5 years
experience in ICT, broadcasting and communications, who need to understand
technology and its future in order to be successful in their careers.
The women listed below were accepted on a full scholarship basis into
the program, which ran from May 25 - 30, 2008, at Ryerson University
in Toronto.

RADIO CAREER ACCELERATOR |
Designed exclusively for women in Canadian radio, this executive training
program offers an intensive and enriching learning experience for new
and middle managers focusing on programming, administration and sales.
Participants learn how to present their ideas effectively, find their
way around a financial statement with confidence, and deal with the
realities of deregulation, digitization, sales, automation, marketing,
labour relations, programming and research.

TELEVISION CAREER ACCELERATOR PROGRAM |
This week-long executive training course was created especially for
women in television, to prepare them for senior management roles in
their field. The curriculum is designed and delivered by Ryerson University
in Toronto, in collaboration with some of the best television, specialty
and new media broadcasters in the industry.
